To Our Partners for Equitable Science Instruction (PESI) Supporters,

It is with mixed emotions that we say goodbye to Partners for Equitable Science Instruction (PESI).

Our time together has been incredibly rewarding and we are so proud to have met our goals and

made such an important and positive impact on science education in Tucson area schools.

As science enthusiasts and science education advocates, we were dedicated to volunteering

our time helping with science kit preparation, sharing science news, information and

opportunities such as the Department of Forestry and Fire Management Grant,

providing classroom mentoring and presenting science professional development

workshops.

Even though the PESI organization is ending, you will still see many of us around.

You can contact the TUSD Science Resource Center (SRC) to leave a message or get

help with science related questions. Some of our PESI Instructors will continue to partner

with the Cooper Center for Environmental Education. Look for their FABULOUS workshops

on the Cooper Center website.

Thank you all for your participation and support over the past few years.  We are so grateful

to have been given the opportunity to share our passion for science with the Tucson community.

We look forward to seeing Tucson area teachers continue to pave the way and inspire their

students through science education.

HELP WANTED!

The TUSD Science Resource Center (SRC) has already received some of the newly adopted science materials.  Help is needed to inventory and organize the materials into boxes & bins for the kits that get delivered to TUSD schools.

You can email Becky C. ( rbcavazos@comcast.net )  or Peggy H. ( pegadoh@gmail.com )  directly, to check the work schedule and let them know when you are available. This is a great opportunity to help out and get a peek at the new middle school science materials too.
